If you’re considering the next step, this is a space to start ...

How to reach me?
For the time being, sessions take place online. The option of meeting in person in Utrecht may become available later and can be explored if this is important to you.
You’re welcome to get in touch via email or WhatsApp. As I’m often in sessions, I’m not able to take calls directly. Messages sent during business hours will be responded to as soon as possible. If you prefer to speak by phone, a call can be arranged upon requests via email.

Frequently asked questions - FAQ
Is this therapy or coaching?
This is psychologist-let coaching. It is informed by psychological theory and clinical training, but is not therapy and does not involve diagnosis or treatment of mental disorders.
The focus is on understanding patterns, relationships, emotions and choices in the present, and on supporting intentional change where appropriate. If at any point it becomes clear that therapy or specialised care would be more suitable, this will be discussed openly.
What if I’m not sure what I want to work on yet?
That’s not uncommon. You don’t need to arrive with a clearly defined problem or goal.
Part of the work is creating space to explore what feels unclear, repetitive, or unsettled, and to understand what might be worth attending. Clarity can emerge through reflection, rather than needing to be present from the start.
Do I need to commit to a certain number of sessions?
There is no fixed requirement to commit upfront. For many people, this work involves around 8 sessions, which generally allows enough space to explore patterns, gain clarity, and begin integrating change.
That said, the number of sessions is collaboratively decided. We regularly review what feels useful, what you want to focus on, and whether continuing makes sense.
Who is this kind of work suited for?
This work is suited to people who are functioning in daily life but feel stuck, unclear, or dissatisfied in certain areas. Many clients are reflective, high-functioning, and motivated to understand themselves and their relationships more deeply.
It can be helpful if you’re navigating transition, relational challenges, recurring patterns, or questions around boundaries, self-confidence, or direction, even if you wouldn’t describe yourself as ‘in need of therapy’.
Are sessions confidential?
Yes. Sessions are handled in line with professional and ethical standards for psychologists. What is shared remains confidential, within the legal and ethical boundaries of the profession.
Where are sessions held?
Sessions are currently offered online. We work with clients across the Netherlands, including Utrecht, Amsterdam, Amersfoort and The Hague. In-person sessions may be available in the future.
What if it turns out I need a different kind of support?
That will be discussed openly and respectfully.
Part of working ethically is recognising when a different form of support may be more appropriate. If that arises, I’ll help you think through next steps or referral options that better match your needs.
How do I know if this is the right next step for me?
You don’t need certainty to begin, only a sense that reflection and psychological perspective might be helpful at this moment.
During an introductory call, we can explore the fit, you can ask questions, and decide whether this feels like the right step, now or later.
What happens in the initial introductory call?
The introductory call is a chance to briefly explore what brings you here, ask questions, and consider whether this way of working feels appropriate for you. It’s also an opportunity to clarify practicalities and expectations.
There is no obligation to continue. The aim is simply to support an informed next step.
What kinds of topics can we work on?
People bring a wide range of topics. You don’t need to translate your experience into psychological language. If something feels relevant or recurring for you, it’s usually a good place to start.
